Collecting input from civil society
The Journalism Value Project (JVP) has been designed to advance the research, practice and debate about the value of independent journalism to society in Europe. As part of advancing the debate, JVP is consulting with diverse stakeholders from multiple sectors to better understand how they view, value and support journalism now and in the future.
The encounters with funders, journalists, and media leaders have already brought very valuable insights which will be reflected in a white-paper document next year.
In the coming months, we will organise a series of webinars and in-person events to continue driving the conversation. We are planning to convene the whistleblowing community, European think tanks, and social impact investors in separate gatherings to hear their views on how journalism is bringing social, cultural, democratic, and financial value to their community and society at large.
The meetings are organised and hosted by Investigative Europe.
